    World Development Indicators 2017 (WDI 2017) provides a compilation of relevant and internationally comparable statistics about global development compiled by the World Bank from officially recognised international sources. The World Development Indicators database has been improved to include more indicators that cover the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and more data disaggregated by sex, age, wealth quintile, and urban or rural location. New data includes access to clean cooking fuels and the number of industrial design applications registered globally. Please note: Data on the SDGs are now presented in a new companion publication, Atlas of SDGs 2017, which analyses and visualises World Development Indicators data to explore progress toward the goals for 2030 and catalyses discussion of measurement issues and data needs.
